Sarah Bridget was born in Lancashire, England in 1964. After a Convent Grammar
School education and an Honours Degree in English Literature and History she
followed a career in banking. She moved to Asia in 1995 to teach English, both in
Hong-Kong and in Singapore . The new environment reawakened a youthful interest
in Visual Art and in "making things".
After part-time studies in two of Singapore 's main art schools - LASALLE and NAFA, she decided to return
to England to spend a further five years in Higher education as a 'mature' Art School student. She graduated
with Master of Fine Art (Painting) from Derby University followed by a PGCE FE (Art & Design). From July 2006
she was Programme Leader 2D in the Faculty of Foundation Studies at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.
In May 2010 she switched to a part-time lecturing role to allow more time for personal practice. She lives in
Singapore, making long annual visits to the UK.
