'Small art'

This was fun! Each individual piece measures 1.5 x1.5cm. The idea behind it came from my friend Erzan Adam, who reckoned that painters have, from time immemorial, been required to prove that they can do big stuff but are rarely challenged to go to the other extreme: So a group of us formed a new art circle and decided to major on the minor.

The newspaper article features my piece – 400 tiny separately made compositions fixed within acrylic sheets. Look at your thumbnail and you'll get an idea of the scale.
